Oto Awori LCDA–The Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area, Hon. Kareem Azeez Abiodun, will on Wednesday ,16th September, 2026 mark his One Year in Office with the commissioning of landmark projects and the rollout of major people-oriented programs across the LCDA.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Ayodele Boundirin,the Chairman said the past 12 months have been dedicated to roads, education,health, security,empowerment and manpower development,and residents will now see the results on ground.

The anniversary celebration will feature commissioning of New Kareem Road, Shibiri — A 456-meter road with drainage to ease transportation and curb flooding,Commissioning of a new storey building with 12 classrooms at Community Nursery and Primary School, Ilemba-Awori to improve learning conditions,presentation of grants to CDAs,presentation of new operational vehicles to Oto-Awori Police Division, JTF, and CDC for improved security and rapid response.

Others are Mass Empowerment Program,grants and working tools for youths, women, artisans and vulnerable groups and flag-off of free health mission including “Jigi Asejer”,free medical check-ups, treatment, drugs, eye screening and free glasses for residents

Hon. Kareem Azeez Abiodun said the anniversary is not just a celebration, but a report card to the people.

“In the last one year, our focus has been on what touches the lives of our people directly. From motorable roads to conducive classrooms, from a safer community to support for businesses and health, we have stayed true to our promise,” he stated.

“This is in line with our commitment that Oto-Awori LCDA will continue to rise From roads to classrooms, from security to welfare, service with sincerity remains the watchword of this administration.”

The Chairman invited residents, traditional rulers, CDAs, political leaders, and stakeholders to join the commissioning and empowerment events across the council.

He assured that more projects and programs have been lined up for the second year, as the administration deepens its development blueprint for Oto-Awori.
