The global Islamic organisation, Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), has announced plans to officially unveil the Silver Lining for Women and Children Support Initiative, a humanitarian programme designed to empower women, support vulnerable children, and strengthen families across communities.
The initiative, launched in partnership with the Silver Lining for Women and Children Support Initiative, reflects NASFAT’s enduring commitment to social development, compassion, and community service.
It is aimed at providing sustainable support for widows, women, children, and other vulnerable groups through advocacy, empowerment programmes, and strategic interventions.
According to the National Public Relations Secretary of NASFAT, Alhaji Shamsideen Owolabi Oseni,the programme will serve as a platform for restoring hope, promoting economic empowerment, and creating opportunities that improve the welfare and livelihoods of women and families while contributing to stronger and more resilient communities.
The official unveiling coincides with the commemoration of International Widows’ Day, underscoring the importance of resilience, inclusion, and community-driven solutions in addressing the challenges faced by widows and vulnerable families.
Investigator news reports that the unveiling ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lagos State Secretariat Mosque Hall, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State.
NASFAT has extended invitations to stakeholders, community leaders, development partners, faith-based organisations, members of the media, and the general public to participate in the event and support efforts aimed at improving the lives of women and children.
Speaking on the initiative,Alhaji Owolabi Oseni, described the programme as a significant step towards expanding the society’s humanitarian outreach and promoting sustainable community development through collective action.
