Lokoja,Kogi— Kogi State Governor, *His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo*, has felicitated with former Deputy Governor of the state,Chief Yomi Awoniyi, on the occasion of his 66th birthday.
In a warm and personal message, Governor Ododo described Awoniyi as one of the leaders he holds in very high esteem, and expressed gratitude for his consistent counsel, support, and goodwill.
The Governor acknowledged Chief Awoniyi’s years of experience and contributions to the development of Kogi State, noting that his wisdom and guidance have been of immense value to him and his administration.
Governor Ododo also commended the former Deputy Governor for his strong commitment to the All Progressives Congress, APC, and for supporting his administration as well as the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“You are one of the people I hold in very high esteem, and I consider myself fortunate to have your counsel and support,” the Governor said.
“Beyond politics, I value you as an elder whose words carry weight and whose presence brings a sense of strength and reassurance. I am particularly grateful for the goodwill you have consistently extended to me,” he added.
Governor Ododo prayed Almighty God to grant Chief Awoniyi many more years in good health, peace and fulfilment, while also asking for God’s protection upon him and his family.
“Happy 66th Birthday, Your Excellency. Please accept my warmest wishes and heartfelt appreciation. I look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with you,” he concluded.
Investigator news reports that Chief Yomi Awoniyi served as Deputy Governor of Kogi State and remains a respected elder statesman and voice in the politics of the state.
