Senator Adamu Aleiru of Kebbi Central formally joined the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State only a few hours after withdrawing from the senatorial race.

Alieru claimed that Governor Bagudu replaced real delegates with fictitious ones, which prompted him to withdraw from the contest, which he described as shambolic and fraudulent.
