Police in Nasarawa State have apprehended twenty-four suspected political thugs.
Officers from Keffi Area Command apprehended them at Minki Suites on the Keffi-Akwanga Road.
Muyiwa Adejobi, a spokesman for the Force, said in a statement on Tuesday that the suspects were working for a 2023 aspirant.
Adejobi revealed that the politician ran in the Nasarawa West Senatorial primaries.
After a convoy of seven private vehicles entered the hotel, the police acted on information.

Eight pump action guns, two locally made revolver guns, 37 rounds of live cartridges, and four bulletproof vests were discovered.
Other items include twenty-seven mobile phones, two pairs of vigilante uniforms, five cutlasses, and ten assorted knives and charms.
Adejobi went on to say that the thugs “carry out their heinous acts under the guise of being members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN).”
