Ahead of the 2027 general election pressure is reportedly mounting on Hon. Oladapo Ajomale, who represents Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, as constituents call for greater accountability regarding his performance in office.
Investigator news reports that residents and stakeholders in the constituency are demanding a clear account of his stewardship, insisting that representation must translate into visible development and measurable impact on the lives of the people.
At the centre of the concerns is the question of constituency projects. Many residents are asking what tangible interventions have been facilitated through his office, including road rehabilitation, drainage improvements, school development, healthcare support, and youth empowerment programmes within Oshodi-Isolo II.
There are also growing questions around legislative performance. Constituents are seeking clarity on bills sponsored, motions moved, and oversight functions carried out by the lawmaker, particularly in relation to unemployment, traders’ welfare, infrastructure challenges, and general development concerns affecting the area.
Some community members further argue that effective representation goes beyond occupying a seat in the House of Assembly, stressing the need for active engagement with constituents through town hall meetings, feedback sessions, and periodic reporting on constituency activities.
Stakeholders also emphasize that political background or family influence should not replace accountability, noting that public office demands consistent delivery and responsiveness to the needs of the people.
As the debate continues, residents of Oshodi-Isolo II maintain that what matters most is performance and visible results, insisting that elected representatives must remain answerable to the electorate throughout their tenure.
