…….As Tourism Vanguard For Tinubu 2027 Plans Train Ride, Novelty Match, Magazine Launch And PBAT/KOH Endorsement.

Lagos, Nigeria— The National Central Working Council (NCWC) of the Tourism Vanguard for Tinubu 2027 (TVT) has announced plans to host a major national tourism stakeholders’ summit in Lagos State to commemorate the 2026 World Tourism Day.
According to a press statement issued on Saturday, August 23, 2026 by the National Coordinator, Hon. Apata Samson Nunayon,the landmark programme will bring together tourism and hospitality stakeholders from across the 36 States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
The group said Lagos was chosen as host because of its status as Nigeria’s economic capital and a leading destination for tourism, culture, entertainment, business and transportation.
“Lagos is not just our host state; Lagos is a reflection of Nigeria’s diversity, enterprise and tourism potential. Bringing stakeholders from across the country to Lagos for World Tourism Day is a statement of our belief that tourism can unite Nigeria while contributing significantly to economic growth and national development,” Hon. Nunayon stated.
Hon Apata disclosed that the summit will feature four key activities designed to promote tourism, culture and national unity:A special Tourism Train Ride that will showcase rail transportation as a catalyst for domestic tourism, destination connectivity and heritage exploration, while promoting the 2027 agenda for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat.
A novelty football match will assemble tourism practitioners, hospitality operators, invited guests and supporters in an atmosphere of sportsmanship, networking and unity.
Investigator news reports that the event will feature the official unveiling of Explore Nigeria Magazine, a publication aimed at promoting Nigeria’s destinations, attractions, cultural heritage, festivals, hospitality offerings and investment opportunities.
The magazine is expected to position Nigeria as a competitive destination for domestic and international tourists.
The programme will conclude with a Public Endorsement Session where participating stakeholders will publicly declare support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid and for Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat as the next Governor of Lagos State.
“As Tourism Vanguard for Tinubu 2027, our national support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is being extended to Lagos through our support for Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat.
“We believe that continuity, experience and progressive leadership are important to sustaining the gains and opportunities emerging across tourism, infrastructure, transportation, culture and the creative economy,” Hon. Nunayon added.
The NCWC said the summit will also serve as a platform to demonstrate the tourism sector’s capacity to drive Nigeria’s economic transformation.
Expected participants include representatives from tourism associations, hotels, travel agencies, tour operators, destination management companies, transport organisations, cultural institutions, creative industry groups, media organisations and youth groups nationwide.
The NCWC said it will provide strategic leadership and national coordination for the programme in collaboration with state and zonal structures and organising committees.
The group called on all tourism and hospitality stakeholders to participate actively in the “historic convergence” as the sector marks World Tourism Day 2026.
