Ikeja,Lagos–The City Boy Movement has taken a significant step in strengthening its grassroots political structure in Lagos State with the official inauguration of its state chapter and the appointment of Alhaji Rahmon Olaseni Taiwo as the Coordinator of the Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chapter.
The inauguration ceremony, held at Marcellina’s Place, Ikeja, attracted political stakeholders, community leaders, youth mobilisers and supporters from across the state, all united by a shared commitment to expanding the movement’s reach and promoting greater grassroots participation in governance and political engagement.
Investigator news reports that the appointment of Alhaji Rahmon Olaseni Taiwo is widely seen as a strategic move to consolidate the movement’s presence in Ejigbo LCDA, leveraging his leadership experience and grassroots appeal to mobilise residents and strengthen the organisation’s structures within the community.
The Ejigbo LCDA delegation to the inauguration comprised Chief Saheed Akinlagun (Fadu Ward), Hon. Lekan Musa (Ifoshi Ward), Hon. Mrs. Foluke Shorinwa (Aigbaka Ward), Hon. Amos Olawale (Ailegun Ward), Chief Afeez Olaleye (Ilamose Ward), and Mr. Emmanuel Fadare (Oke-Afa Ward).
The delegation reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the ideals of the City Boy Movement and pledged to work collectively to deepen its influence across all wards in the council area.
Speaking after the inauguration, members of the delegation expressed optimism that the movement would serve as a veritable platform for political mobilisation, youth inclusion, community development and sustained support for progressive governance in Lagos State.
In a symbolic demonstration of unity and solidarity, the newly inaugurated Ejigbo leadership paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT).
The delegation was warmly received by the council chairman, who commended their commitment to grassroots mobilisation and encouraged them to remain focused on promoting peace, inclusiveness and sustainable development within the community.
The visit culminated in a commemorative group photograph, reflecting the strong bond between the movement’s leadership and the local administration, while underscoring their shared vision of fostering political participation, community empowerment and grassroots development.
