Jakande Mourns Slain Toba Ajiboye, Assures Residents Of Justice And Enhanced Security

Ilupeju,Lagos–The Executive Chairman of Òdì Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Dr. Seyi Jakande, has expressed profound grief over the tragic killing of Mr. Toba Ajiboye, popularly known as Ijaya, describing the incident as a painful loss to the family, the council, and the entire community.

In a statement issued on behalf of the government and people of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Dr. Jakande extended his heartfelt condolences to the Ajiboye family, friends, and associates of the deceased, assuring them that the council shares in their sorrow during this difficult period.

He noted that the unfortunate incident has left residents deeply saddened, adding that the council remains committed to standing by the bereaved family with prayers, compassion, and every necessary support.

“This is a heartbreaking tragedy that has touched us all. We mourn the untimely loss of Mr. Toba Ajiboye and pray that Almighty God grants his family the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the chairman said.

While sympathising with residents, Dr. Jakande appealed for calm, urging members of the community not to allow grief, fear, or anger to disrupt the prevailing peace and harmony within the LCDA.

He disclosed that the council is working closely with relevant security agencies to ensure a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing, stressing that every effort is being made to apprehend those responsible and bring them to justice.

“The government will not relent in its commitment to protecting lives and property. Investigations are ongoing, and we are confident that the perpetrators of this heinous act will be identified and made to face the full weight of the law,” he stated.

Dr. Jakande further urged residents to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information, and continue to promote peaceful coexistence across the community.

According to him, the most fitting tribute to the late Mr. Ajiboye is for residents to remain united and collectively support efforts aimed at strengthening security and preserving the peace for which Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA is known.

The council chairman reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of all residents, promising that no effort would be spared in ensuring that justice is served.

He concluded by once again conveying the condolences of the government and people of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA to the Ajiboye family and prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased.
