Aare TAT Partners Lagos Govt To Host Street Soccer Stars 3.0 In October

Ejigbo, Lagos – The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA),Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), has announced plans to host the 3.0 edition of the Lagos Street Soccer Stars tournament across the six political wards of the council in October.

The initiative which is supported by the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Sports, Hon. Adebanji Adeoye Atewogboye (SKIBANJ), and organised in partnership with Sporty Lagos Naija, is designed to discover, nurture and promote emerging football talents at the grassroots level.

As part of preparations for the tournament, Aare TAT recently embarked on an inspection tour of the proposed venues across the six wards to ensure adequate planning and accessibility for residents.

Investigator news reports that the selected venues for the October edition include Double Star Road, Oke Afa Ward; Ailegun Road, Ailegun Ward; Allah Lane, Ifoshi Ward; Ilufunmi Street, Aigbaka Ward; Moshalashi Street, Fadu Ward; and Ilamose Estate Road, Ilamose Ward.

The competition is part of efforts by the Lagos State Government, under the leadership of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, to promote youth participation, sports development and talent discovery across the state.

Through the Lagos Street Soccer Stars initiative, the government aims to create opportunities for young footballers to showcase their abilities, develop their skills and progress from the streets to bigger sporting platforms.

Speaking with newsmen,Aare TAT reiterated that the Ejigbo LCDA administration remains committed to empowering youths through sports, providing platforms for talent development and encouraging positive community engagement.

The October edition of Lagos Street Soccer Stars 3.0 is expected to further strengthen grassroots football development in Ejigbo and produce promising talents capable of making an impact beyond the local level.

Meanwhile, the ongoing Lagos Street Soccer Stars Ejigbo 2.0 competition has reached the semi-final stage, with the grand finale scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026.

The winners of the ongoing tournament will go home with attractive prizes, including ₦1 million for the first-place winner, ₦750,000 for the second-place winner, and ₦500,000 for the third-place winner.
