Lagos, Nigeria–The President-General of Ndi Igbo Buru Otu Association, Eze Dr. Ambassador C.C. Nwokedi (Eze Okokpo I and Okpoko I Na Obodoukwu), has congratulated the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Olayiwola Fatai, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as an exceptional police officer whose visionary leadership has continued to strengthen security, peace and public confidence across Lagos State.
In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of himself and the entire members of Ndi Igbo Buru Otu Association, the revered traditional ruler said the birthday celebration provides an opportunity to honour a distinguished public servant whose unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property has earned him the admiration of residents and stakeholders throughout the state.
Eze Nwokedi who is also the Chairman Council of Ndieze Lagos State,noted that under the leadership of CP Fatai, Lagos has continued to witness proactive policing, improved security coordination and stronger collaboration between the police and the communities they serve.
According to him, the Commissioner’s professionalism, courage, discipline and intelligence-driven approach to crime prevention have contributed significantly to making Lagos safer for residents, investors and businesses.
“Lagos is safer under your watch because of your dedication, vigilance and commitment to protecting lives and property. Your exemplary leadership, professionalism and relentless pursuit of peace and public safety have continued to inspire confidence among the people of Lagos State,” Eze Nwokedi stated.
The President-General went further to commend CP Fatai for promoting peaceful coexistence among the various ethnic nationalities resident in Lagos, describing him as a bridge-builder who has maintained cordial relationships with community leaders, traditional institutions, religious organisations and socio-cultural groups, including the Igbo community.
He added that the Police Commissioner has demonstrated uncommon integrity, fairness and accountability in the discharge of his constitutional responsibilities, while encouraging officers and men of the Lagos State Command to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and respect for human rights.
The monarch observed that effective policing thrives on trust and collaboration, noting that CP Fatai has consistently embraced community engagement as a critical strategy for combating crime and sustaining public order.
“On behalf of Ndi Igbo Buru Otu Association, he expressed profound appreciation for the sacrifices made daily by the Commissioner and officers of the Lagos State Police Command in safeguarding the lives and property of millions of Lagos residents.”
He prayed that Almighty God would continue to grant the Commissioner greater wisdom, strength, divine protection, sound health and many more fruitful years of impactful service to Lagos State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
