The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has commended the Federal Government and Nigeria’s security agencies for the successful rescue of the pupils and teachers abducted in Oyo State, describing the operation as a significant milestone in the nation’s ongoing efforts to combat insecurity and protect lives.
The Society said the successful rescue reflects the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of Nigerians, particularly schoolchildren and education workers, while reinforcing public confidence in the country’s security architecture.
In a statement issued by the National Public Relations Secretary of NASFAT, Alhaji Shamsideen Owolabi Oseni, the President of the Society, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, praised the intelligence, professionalism, and strategic coordination displayed by the nation’s security agencies in carrying out the rescue operation.
According to him, the successful mission demonstrates the capacity of Nigeria’s security institutions to respond decisively to security threats when provided with the necessary support and collaboration.
He noted that the safe return of the abducted pupils and teachers would reassure parents, school administrators, and communities that government remains committed to safeguarding educational institutions across the country.
“The successful rescue is a welcome development and a testament to the dedication, courage, and resilience of our security personnel.
It also reinforces hope that with sustained efforts and effective collaboration, Nigeria can overcome the security challenges confronting the nation,” AbdulRauf stated.
Also speaking on the development, the National Education Secretary of NASFAT, Alhaja Nurat Jolaoso, described the rescue as a major confidence booster for parents, teachers, students, and other stakeholders in the education sector.
She stressed that a safe learning environment is essential for the nation’s educational development and urged government at all levels to continue strengthening security around schools to prevent similar incidents.
Jolaoso added that the successful operation would encourage parents to continue investing in their children’s education without fear, while commending the resilience of the rescued pupils, teachers, and their families throughout the difficult period.
Meanwhile, the Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam Morufdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, offered prayers for the rescued pupils and teachers, asking Almighty Allah to grant them complete healing, comfort, and protection as they recover from their ordeal.
He also prayed for continued wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, government officials, and members of the nation’s security agencies as they intensify efforts to guarantee lasting peace, security, and stability across Nigeria.
NASFAT reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote quality education, national unity, and the protection of lives and property.
The Society further called on citizens, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders to continue supporting security agencies with credible information and collective action toward building a safer nation where every child can pursue education without fear.
