ICONX Magazine Celebrates 20th Anniversary,Honours Distinguished Personalities With Awards

In a dazzling night of music, glamour and celebration,it was a moment of joy and great accomplishment for ICONX Magazine as it attains 20 years in the media industry.
The lCONX award 2024 was indeed an awesome night as dignitaries from all walks of life stormed the prestigious banquet hall of the lconic event center on Friday 13 December,2024.

Investigator news reports that the event was the 20th Anniversary/Award Night to honour deserving distinguished personalities who have impacted the community, done well in their various businesses and occupation,impacted humanity and has supported the magazine these past 20 years.
The Magazine was established in 2004 as a specialized commemorative publication. It showcases people of great accomplishments and their contributions to societal development; historic and memorable events; government activities and general interest news.
Speaking with lnvestigator news,the CEO and Publisher of lCONX magazine and the Converner of lCONX Award,Mr Abayomi Dawodu stated that the essence pf the lconx award was to celebrate 20years of the magazine and also recognized those that have supported the company through the years.
Abayomi went further to state that in celebrating the 20 years anniversary of the magazine, the media outfit decided to honor personalities who have one way or the other impacted into humanity and their communities;as well as done excellently well in their various businesses and occupations.
He pointed out that this decision was borne out of conviction that people who deserve honour should be celebrated while they are still alive to savour the joy of recognition, and not wait till death before eulogies are poured on them as it is done in most cases.The honour is also to encourage other members of the society to emulate the Awardees by contributing their quota to societal development.
The elated publisher opined that he is honored with the caliber of personalities that attended the occasion, noting that 20years of lconx magazine has been full of fun and difficulty.
“I feel honored today because l never knew that l would have this large turnout of crowd. This 20years has been full of fun and difficulty but l thank God almighty, what seems to be difficult,God made it easy.
It has not been easy coping with the challenges of publication business, especially when one looks back at the history of journalism vis-à-vis newspapers and magazines it shows that lCONX magazine is going places
“One thing l will tell people if you have a vision just keep pushing and praying,one day you will get it right”he stated
The media guru noted that in the next five years to come,lcon magazine which is a global brand tends to take it to the international level where non Nigerians can also participate in the lconx award.
The Chairman Ejigbo Local Development Council Area,Hon Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello was among those who bagged awards in recognition of their achievements in the community development and contributions.
Hon Bello who was represented by the Supervisor for Education,Mr Ganiyu Bello was bestowed with the award “Grand Achiever of the year”following his achievements as the two term vice chairman and two term local government chairman that has transformed Ejigbo LCDA with road infrastructure,health centers and reconstruction of the local government secretariat among others.
Other awardees included the vice chairman of Ejigbo LCDA,Hon Ayodele Sunday, who received the Political leader of the year Award; Leader of Ejigbo legislative council,Hon Lanre Akinbowale who bagged the best leader of legislative council, General Manager of Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency, Prince Ifalade Oyekan as Best Exemplary leader in Public Safety.
The Business woman of the year award goes to Alhaja Mrs Fatimo Shittu, while Musediq Adeyanju received the business leader of the year,Giwa Hakeem, Deputy director FlRS received outstanding career achievement award;Hon Femi lbine, Supervisor for Market and Revenue Ejigbo receives the Public Service Excellence Award and Mrs Monilola Alimi receives the Entrepreneur of the year (female)
In Entrepreneurship,Qudrin Olamilekan received the best male fashion entrepreneur award; Hajiya Aishat Damilola Ajoke got the outstanding fashion entrepreneur,Hon ldowu Adebanwo bagged the community change maker, Prince Adele Adewale Taofiq bagged inspirational figure award,Mr Benjamin Okafor as logistics trailblazer,Mr Aramiwale Shittu went home with the Best Male/CEO Executive Award and Queen Ayinke as Event planner of the year award
Otunba kunle Makinde and Mrs Adebukola Aibana bagged the Community Champion Award(Male and Female) respectively,the influential personality of the year award goes to Hon Prince Saheed Aregbe, Chief Henry Shodunke bagged the lcon of the year award and Olumiyiwa Oladunmi bagged the Philanthropist of the year award.
Others are Mr Jimi Babajide Ogunmokun who bagged the Young Achiever of the year award,Mr Adebanjo Adediran,Iconx Global Outstanding Personality;Olakunle Tinubu as inspiring role model,Mr Dotun Oladapo as Strategic Thinker Award,
The Meritorious Service Award goes to Comrade Taofeek Alaka, Peace Ambassador Award goes to Comrade Ranti Akande, while Hon Banji Likoja receives the Youth Ambassador Award.
Comrade ldris Adebowale received the Outstanding Civil Servant Award,Nike Giwa got the Beauty lcon of the year award,Adeola Lawal received Gadget Entrepreneur award,Mrs Omobola Olaitan went home with the Business Strategy Excellence Award(Female) and Romiwa Korede Ebili got Business Strategy Excellence Award (Male).
Investigator news reports that the Outstanding leader (Transportation) went to Comrade Femi Olowu,Yemi Akintewe received the Rising Star Award,Mr Kayode Akinbanjo was the lconic Artist of the year, Oluwatoyin Oyedola was the lconic Dj of the year and the Concerned loyalist to Hon Bello Obe took the Political Mobilizer movement of the year.
Speaking with newsmen, some of the recipients expressed gratitude to God almighty and the organizers of the event for having recognized their little contributions to humanity and the society at large.
Hon Banji Lijoka who received the Youth Ambassador Award urges the youths not to indulge in crime and drug abuse as hard work and determination pays.
He went further to state that he would use the award giving to him to ensure that youths are fully engaged in entrepreneurship and other business that will make them successful in life.
Highlight of the event was the cutting of the anniversary cake, dance and unveiling of the lCON foundation.
