Members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) have endorsed the lawmaker representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II at the House of Representatives, Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, for another term in office, citing his impressive performance and impactful constituency projects.

The endorsement took place during a well-attended event held at the Unveiling Event Center, Lagos, where party leaders, community stakeholders and beneficiaries of the lawmakerâs empowerment programmes gathered to express support for his continued representation.
The event featured emotional testimonies from several beneficiaries of Hon. Onuakalusiâs interventions and empowerment initiatives.

Among them were participants in an international empowerment programme facilitated by the lawmaker in China, who commended him for creating opportunities capable of transforming lives and improving economic fortunes.
Speaking at the event, a prominent leader of the party, Chief John Uche, explained why the constituents and party faithful were united in their decision to endorse the federal lawmaker for another term.

According to him, Hon. Onuakalusi has surpassed the achievements of previous representatives of the constituency through impactful projects and people-oriented programmes.
He highlighted several projects executed by the lawmaker, including road construction, renovation of schools, installation of solar-powered street lights, donation of transformers to communities, and empowerment schemes targeted at youths and women.
Chief Uche noted that the lawmakerâs commitment to grassroots development and accessibility to the people have distinguished him as a true representative of the masses.
âNo one who has represented Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II has recorded the level of achievements Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi has attained within this short period.
His projects and programmes are visible across the constituency and the people can testify to them,â he said.
Other dignitaries who spoke at the event also praised the lawmakerâs performance and called for sustained support for his political future.

Among them were the Sarkin Hausa of Ago-Okota, Alhaji Umar Mohamed; Engr. Adewale Ojedokun; and Chief Bright Prince, who all described Hon. Onuakalusi as a responsive and development-driven leader committed to the welfare of his constituents.
Alhaji Umar Mohamed described Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi as âa bridge builder and a leader who does not discriminate in serving the people.â
According to him, the lawmaker has continued to promote unity among different ethnic groups within Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II through inclusive leadership and people-oriented programmes.
âWe have seen many politicians come and go, but Hon. Okey-Joe has shown genuine concern for the ordinary people. He carries everyone along irrespective of tribe or religion.
The Hausa community in Ago-Okota has benefited from his empowerment and developmental projects, and we are proud to support his return,â Umar Mohamed stated.

Also speaking, Engr. Adewale Ojedokun commended the federal lawmaker for focusing on infrastructural development and human capacity building across the constituency.
He noted that the installation of solar-powered street lights, road rehabilitation projects and educational support initiatives have significantly improved the living condition of residents.
âHon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi has changed the narrative of representation in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II. His performance is visible and verifiable.
From roads to schools, transformers and youth empowerment programmes, the impacts are everywhere. Leaders like him deserve encouragement to do more,â Ojedokun said.

They urged residents of Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II to continue supporting the lawmaker in order to consolidate on the developmental strides already being witnessed across the constituency.

The endorsement event ended with a unanimous vote of confidence passed on Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, as party members and supporters reaffirmed their readiness to mobilise support for his re-election.
