As political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections gather momentum, the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has intensified efforts to mobilise members of the All Progressives Cong ress (APC), urging them to remain united and committed to ensuring the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke.
AKOD made the appeal during the inauguration of the Tinubu/Faleke Campaign Committee held at the Lagos Airport, Ikeja, where party leaders, elected officials, executives and supporters converged to kick-start preparations for the official flag-off of the campaign.
Addressing party faithful, the council chairman stressed that unity, reconciliation and unwavering loyalty remained the foundation of the APC’s electoral strength. He called on members to put aside personal interests and work collectively towards delivering another resounding victory for the party, insisting that the APC must stand together to secure victory at the polls.
According to him, the official Tinubu/Faleke campaign will be flagged off on August 19, expressing confidence that the party will present a formidable and united front throughout the campaign. He noted that sustained grassroots mobilisation and collaboration among party members would further consolidate the APC’s dominance in Ikeja Federal Constituency.
The event was attended by Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. David Odumbaku, Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, alongside other prominent APC leaders, elected representatives, party executives and stakeholders who pledged their commitment to the success of the campaign.
AKOD reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to strengthening the APC at the grassroots, urging members to remain focused on the party’s vision and continue supporting President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He expressed optimism that with unity, discipline and effective mobilisation, the APC would once again secure overwhelming victories in Ikeja and across Lagos State in the 2027 elections.
