Governor Nyesom Nwike has expressed his condolences to the victims of the Port Harcourt Polo Club tragedy.
Wike expressed his sorrow at the events on Saturday that resulted in the deaths of nearly 30 individuals.
“I pray for God to allow the bereaved families the strength to suffer the loss of their loved ones on behalf of the Government and people of Rivers State,” Wike said in a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri.
“I also pray for the perfect repose of all the devoted departed souls.” I also wish those who have been hurt a fast recovery.”
He said that the government would form a “probe panel to look into the event and the circumstances of what happened.”
