President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has congratulated the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, on the occasion of his 66th birthday, describing his leadership as a model of intellectual depth, discipline and transformative governance.
In a goodwill message issued on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, and signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Governor Soludo for the significant strides recorded by his administration in security, infrastructure and economic development across Anambra State.
The President described Soludo as an “outlier” in Nigeria’s political landscape, noting that the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had successfully transferred the rigour, brilliance and discipline associated with his academic and professional career into public administration.
According to Tinubu, the impact of Soludo’s leadership is increasingly evident in the lives of Anambra residents, particularly through improved infrastructure, enhanced security and policies aimed at strengthening the state’s economy.
“Soludo has truly demonstrated that when philosophers become kings, good change happens,” the President said, while urging the Anambra Governor to remain committed to his transformative agenda.
Tinubu also recalled Soludo’s distinguished tenure as CBN Governor, where he spearheaded far-reaching reforms that significantly reshaped Nigeria’s banking and financial sector.
The President expressed appreciation for Soludo’s continued support and prayed for greater strength and good health for the Anambra Governor as he continues to serve the people.
“I join family, friends, and the people of Anambra State to celebrate Governor Soludo on his birthday today.
“I pray that God Almighty grant him many more years of good health and strength to deepen his transformative leadership in Anambra and Nigeria,” Tinubu said.
The President’s message adds to the growing tributes celebrating Governor Soludo’s 66th birthday, as family members, friends, political associates and residents across Anambra join in honouring the man at the helm of affairs of the “Light of the Nation.”
