Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, has slammed Peter Obi, the leader of the Labour Party (LP), calling him unfit to be president.

Sowore also slammed LP, claiming it has turned into a haven for displaced politicians.

Obi said he was heading to Egypt for a comparative study of economy and education, among other things, in a series of tweets on his verified Twitter handle.

He expressed himself as follows: “As part of my detailed study of comparative countries to Nigeria, I recently flew to Egypt for a three-day visit. In Egypt, I’ll be expected to shadow the Egyptian power, education, planning, and finance sectors, among other things.”

Sowore, who responded to Obi’s visit on Twitter, said it demonstrated Obi’s lack of preparedness and experience to lead the country despite serving as governor for eight years.

He expressed himself as follows: “Peter Obi reportedly travelled to Egypt to learn how to solve the country’s education and power problems. This is precisely the issue with candidates who are unprepared. There are nine months until the election, and a two-term governor and former vice presidential candidate wants to go to Egypt in three days to learn something. Wow!”

Sowore asked members of the LP and supporters of Peter Obi to join the AAC in another video posted to his Twitter account, claiming that the former lacks the necessary structure to win an election.

He stated, ” “The Labour Party has turned into an orphanage for homeless politicians. When our man became homeless, it didn’t take long for him to run there.

“The Labour Party should not have someone in its ranks who oversaw a 13-month workers’ strike in Anambra.

“Obi left the PDP because they outplayed him in transactional politicking. Where is the Labour Party’s structure? You should think about it.

“The Labour Party’s presidential candidate received 5,000 votes in 2019. 33,000 votes were allotted to me. So, even if you want to look at the structure, one that received 33,000 votes is likely to be bigger and better than one that received 5,000 votes.

“We invite the Labour Party and the Peter Obi supporters to join us. We are the ones who understand how to defend you.

“You stated that you were the governor of the state of Anambra. Did you build schools and universities so that your children could attend when you were governor? Have you constructed hospitals in that state where you can seek treatment if you become ill? Did you build any good roads? Why are you lying if the answer is no?

“I’m not here to engage in ethnic politics or religious politics. I’ve come to help the Nigerian people gain independence.”
