The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Independent Campaign Group (PBAT-KOH ICG) has announced the appointment of a new set of directorate heads to spearhead its grassroots mobilisation and campaign activities across Lagos State ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The appointments, which take immediate effect, were disclosed in a statement signed by the Director General of the group, Hon. Fatai Adekunle Ayoola.
According to Ayoola, the newly appointed officials were carefully selected based on their proven leadership credentials, political influence, grassroots reach, and unwavering commitment to advancing the objectives of the PBAT-KOH ICG.
He expressed confidence that the appointees possess the experience and capacity required to strengthen the campaign structure and ensure effective mobilisation across the state’s political landscape.
The newly constituted leadership includes Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu ‘Dullar’, Immediate Past Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, who has been named Principal Coordinator and Deputy Director General.
Hon. Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka ‘Zulu’, Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sports Development in the Presidency, will serve as Director, Team Lagos, while the Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe, has been appointed Lagos West Senatorial District Coordinator.
Also appointed is Hon. Adeniyi Saliu, Executive Director of Lagride Nigeria Limited, who will oversee Corporate Affairs and Sectoral Engagement as Director.
The Executive Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area, Otunba Adebayo Olasoju, has been named Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, while Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle ‘Sego’, Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos State Chapter, will head the Directorate of Labour Unions.
Ayoola said the newly inaugurated directorate leadership has been entrusted with the responsibility of coordinating all scheduled activities of the campaign group across Lagos State.
He noted that the appointments form part of the group’s broader strategy to deepen grassroots engagement, strengthen political structures, and galvanise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.
The Director General added that the leadership team is expected to immediately commence work by activating campaign networks, engaging critical stakeholders, and expanding the group’s presence across communities in preparation for a successful outing in the general elections.
