Ahead of the August 15 Osun gubernatorial election, the Governors of Kogi and Edo States, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and Senator Monday Okpebholo, on Wednesday spearheaded a major mobilisation rally in Osun State, calling on Kogi indigenes, Edo residents and other non-indigene communities to deliver overwhelming support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), in the August 15 governorship election.

Addressing a large gathering of party faithful and supporters, Governor Ododo urged eligible voters to reward the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by electing the APC candidate, insisting that the party’s achievements at the federal level provide a strong foundation for continued development in Osun State.

He maintained that governance should be assessed by measurable results rather than political rhetoric, stressing that the APC remains committed to delivering impactful projects and people-centred policies.

“Governance is not by propaganda; governance is a serious business. Our campaign is issue-based. Let the people compare records and decide who has truly delivered,” Ododo said.

The Kogi Governor highlighted several Federal Government interventions in his state under President Tinubu, including the approval of the Kogi International Airport, the establishment of a Special Agro-Processing Zone and a Free Trade Zone, rehabilitation of key federal roads, enhanced security support and increased resources for state development.

He called on voters not to be intimidated by political opponents but to come out en masse on election day and cast their ballots for the APC candidate.

Speaking during a separate engagement with members of the Igala community in Osogbo, the North Central Representative on the TETFund Board of Trustees, Dr. Ocholi Hassan Abdulrahman, appealed to Igala sons and daughters residing in Osun State to unite behind the APC and ensure a resounding victory for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.

Dr. Ocholi described his appointment to the TETFund Board as evidence of President Tinubu’s inclusive leadership, noting that the APC-led Federal Government has continued to create opportunities for Nigerians across all regions.

He urged the Igala community to reciprocate what he described as the administration’s goodwill by supporting APC candidates in the Osun governorship election and future national elections.

The rally also featured the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, alongside other prominent APC leaders, who reaffirmed the party’s determination to secure victory at the polls.

The event attracted a massive crowd of APC supporters, Kogi and Edo indigenes, market women, youth groups and members of other non-indigene communities, all expressing confidence in the party’s candidate and pledging to deliver overwhelming votes for Oyebamiji in the August 15 governorship election.
