Lagos APC Lauds Workers’ Resilience, Calls Them Pillars Of Growth.

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated workers across the state on the occasion of the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration, describing them as critical pillars of growth and development.

In a statement signed by the party’s State Chairman, Hon. (Pastor) Cornelius Ojelabi, the APC praised workers for their resilience, dedication, and unwavering commitment to service, noting that their efforts continue to drive the progress of Lagos State.

“On this Workers’ Day, May 1st, 2026, I, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, extend my deepest appreciation to all workers across Lagos.”

“You are the lifeblood of this great state. Your dedication and hard work keep Lagos moving and sustain its reputation as the Aquatic Splendour, resilient, dynamic, and full of promise.”

“Since the dawn of our democracy, you have remained the backbone of every milestone and progress that we celebrate.”he said

Ojelabi said Workers’ Day offers an opportunity to honour the sacrifices, achievements, and enduring value of labour, while also highlighting the need for fair and dignified working conditions for all workers.

He described Lagos workers as the lifeblood of the state, whose daily hard work sustains Lagos’ reputation as a resilient, dynamic, and thriving centre of excellence.

According to him, since the return of democracy, workers have remained the backbone of the many milestones and achievements recorded in Lagos, contributing immensely to its transformation and economic success.

The APC chairman also commended workers across Nigeria, saying that under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, workers have continued to play a central role in promoting economic growth and national stability.

He assured that the APC-led government remains committed to workers’ welfare through prompt payment of salaries and the promotion of labour standards that align with global best practices.

Ojelabi particularly applauded Lagos workers, youths, women, and men for their continued belief in progress and dedication to nation-building, stressing that their contributions to society remain immeasurable.

He expressed confidence that with the support of workers, Lagos would continue on the path of prosperity while Nigeria grows stronger.

He wished all workers a happy and rewarding Workers’ Day celebration.
