The former Governor of Kogi State and APC candidate for Kogi Central Senatorial District, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will record a landslide victory in Kogi State in the 2027 general elections.

Bello stated this on Saturday while addressing a massive crowd of supporters who trooped out to welcome him during his homecoming in Kogi Central.

According to the former governor, the huge reception has further confirmed the dominance of the All Progressives Congress, APC, across the state and the unshaken loyalty of Kogi Central to the party.

Speaking amid cheers from supporters, Bello said he never doubted his people’s support.

“I’ve never doubted that my people are with me 100 percent. I’ve never doubted that my people are supporting APC 100 percent,” he said.

He noted that the people of Kogi Central remain firmly aligned with the APC leadership, expressing confidence that they will also continue to support President Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Bello, who is seeking a Senate seat, said the APC would enjoy the support of the electorate in 2027 because of its visible commitment to infrastructural development and delivery of democratic dividends.

He described the mammoth crowd as organic, spontaneous and a show of genuine affection, not induced.

“It is organic. It’s inborn, it’s inherent, it’s in our DNA, and I sincerely appreciate them,” he said.

He appreciated God, the APC, President Tinubu, Governor Ododo and party faithful, saying the gathering is a testament to the party’s strong grassroots structure in Kogi.

Assuring the President of total support, Bello declared: “I want to assure the President that the Kogi State election, and the election of Kogi Central in particular, is as good as done 100 percent for APC.”

Also speaking, former Kogi APC Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello, said the homecoming showed the people’s love for the former governor.

“This is the homecoming of a leader that liberated the whole of Ebira, and we all turned out to welcome him. It’s not an easy thing,” he said.
