Jakande Marks Nigeria’s 65th Independence With Community Service And Empowerment

Hon. Seyi Jakande, Executive Chairman of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, celebrated Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary by engaging in meaningful community service.

Investigator news reports that Hon Jakande attended the Toba Ajiboye Foundation’s children’s empowerment celebration, where he distributed school supplies, toys, and essential items to encourage education and community empowerment.

The event organized by Mr. Toba Ajiboye, State Organising Secretary of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW),marks the beginning of a series of activities scheduled for October 1 which brought together parents, children, and community leaders to celebrate and inspire future leaders.

Hon Jakande was joined by council legislators, including Hon. Haruna Adeosun, Hon. Ipaye Ibrahim, Hon. Lookman Akinniyi, and Hon. Taye Shodipe Alakan.

Investigator news also gathered the Chairman attended the annual Independence celebration at Ori Pako Base, strengthening ties with community leaders, and participated in the 2025 football championship competition at the Sanwo-Olu Sport Arena, promoting community spirit and pride.

Following the celebration, he conducted an inspection tour to assess community needs, focusing on blocked drainage channels and promising immediate desilting efforts to prevent flooding.

It will be recalled that Jakande’s engagements demonstrated his commitment to service and community empowerment,going beyond festivities to make a tangible difference in his community.
