Odi Olowo-Ojuwoye — The Executive Chairman of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon. Dr. Seyi Jakande, on Monday performed the groundbreaking ceremony for new Civic and Health Centers at Anikulapo Health Centre, Empire Bus Stop.
The project marks a major push by the council to expand access to healthcare, education and civic services across the nine wards of the LCDA. 
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Jakande said the initiative reflects his administration’s commitment to people-centred development.
“This project is a critical milestone. We are not just building structures, we are building opportunities for health, learning, and community engagement,” he stated.
According to him, the completed complex will house a state-of-the-art Primary Health Centre to improve healthcare delivery,an area office for closer government-citizen interaction activities,a modern civic centre,a nultipurpose hall for community programmes and a fully equipped CBT centre for students and job seekers.
He noted that bringing health, civic and education facilities together in one location will maximize impact and make services more accessible to residents.
The event drew political leaders, council officials and community representatives.
In attendance were Vice Chairman, Hon. Gbeminiyi Awodogan; Council Manager, Ms. Ogabi Mojisola; SLG, Hon. Mojeed Daramola; Chief of Staff, Taiwo Ogungbe; Leader of the House, Hon. Lekan Adeyi and members of the Legislative Council.
Also present were Area Officer of Anikulapo, Mr. Lookmon Ilori; Party Chairman, Hon. Ismail Babatunde (TUNKAZ); CDC Chairman, Mr. Adebayo Adekunle and chieftains including Adeshina Surajudeen, Hon. Shola Adeleke, Hon. Rasheed Kowope and Hon. Rasheed Bankole.
Other stakeholders included Artisan Chairman, Alhaji Loko Okeyale Zakariyah; NYCN Òdì-Olowo Coordinator; and South-South Representative, Duro Mercy.
Community leaders applauded the project, saying it will reduce pressure on existing health facilities and create new opportunities for youth development through the CBT centre.
The council said the Anikulapo project reinforces its drive to deliver tangible dividends of democracy and bridge infrastructure gaps in health, education and civic amenities across the LCDA.
