Due to the adjournment of its leader Nnamdi Kanu’s trial, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has cancelled its sit-at-home order for tomorrow and rescheduled it for June 28.
Recall that on Wednesday, the Federal High Court in Abuja postponed the trial of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently detained.
“There will be no sit-at-home in regard to tomorrow’s case,” the group said in a statement signed by Emma Powerful. “Rather, sit-at-home will take place on June 28, 2022.”

“The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), led by Mazi Nnamdi KANU, wishes to inform Biafrans at home and abroad that our Leader’s Court in Abuja, scheduled for May 26th, has been rescheduled for June 28th.”
“We were informed why and what caused the abrupt change of date, and we accepted it. We just received notification from the Federal High Court’s Registrar, through our legal counsel Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, that the Court will no longer be sitting on our Leader’s case tomorrow, May 26th, 2022.” As a result, there will be no sit-at-home hearing tomorrow; instead, the hearing will be held on June 28, 2022.
“According to the Registrar, this is due to Justice Binta Nyako’s absence, and the matter has been rescheduled for ruling/hearing on June 28, 2022.”
“We respectfully request that you all exercise restraint, as you have in the past. “Keep your eyes on the ball, which is Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s freedom.” Please keep in mind that justice delayed is not the same as justice denied. We are speedily approaching our Leader’s victory; it is only a matter of time. Biafrans should bear with us because there will be no sit-at-home tomorrow.
