The Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State, ANIAS, has described the National Excellence Award conferred on the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Charles Soludo, Hon. Christian Aburime, as a proof of inclusive governance in Anambra State.
Hon. Aburime was honoured with the National Excellence Award in Strategic Communication and Public Service at the 10th National Leadership Integrity and Development Summit and Awards 2026, held at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja. The event was organized by the Centre for Ethical Conduct Orientation and Empowerment, CECOE.
In a congratulatory message signed by its President General, Hon. Prince Chigozie Nweke, ANIAS said the award was a testament to Aburime’s professionalism, dedication, strategic communication expertise, and loyal service to the Solution Government.
The group said the honour has special significance for its members, noting that Aburime is a proud non-indigene who has risen to become the image and voice of the Anambra State Government.
According to ANIAS, his appointment and subsequent national recognition demonstrate that Governor Soludo runs an inclusive administration where everyone belongs regardless of tribe or state of origin.
“This award is a testament to his professionalism, dedication, strategic communication expertise, and loyal service to the Solution Government of Anambra State.
For us in ANIAS, this recognition holds special significance. Hon. Christian Aburime is one of us — a proud non-indigene who has risen to become the image and voice of the Anambra State Government,” Nweke stated.
Speaking on behalf of all non-indigenes residing in the 21 Local Government Areas and 179 communities of Anambra State, ANIAS celebrated Aburime as its Chief Host, brother and pride, while praying for more grace for greater exploits.
The association also thanked Governor Soludo for believing in and empowering non-indigenes in his government.
“We celebrate this achievement and pray for more grace for greater service. We also thank Mr Governor for believing in and empowering non-indigenes in his administration. Congratulations once again to our Chief Host, our brother, and our pride — Hon. Christian Aburime,” the statement added.
