…..WASH Project For Olusosun PHC, School Upgrades Lead 9-Point Agenda

The Rotary Club of Revolution Lagos has set an ambitious N44,950,000 target for humanitarian projects in the 2026/2027 Rotary year, with clean water, education and environmental support taking centre stage.
The blueprint was unveiled over the weekend during the inauguration of the club’s 3rd President,Rotarian Chief Dr. Bonaventure Igboanugo,at Martino’s Events Centre and Hotel, Agidingbi, Ikeja.
Igboanugo, a seasoned entrepreneur and philanthropist, announced his Star Project for the year: a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, WASH, intervention at Olusosun Primary Health Centre, Ikeja. 
“That place hasn’t had good pipe borne water and it’s a primary health centre that caters for more than a thousand women, children and local indigenes. It doesn’t make sense that a patient who visits a primary health centre will drink bad water,” he said.
The project will deliver treated pipe-borne water and improved sanitation facilities for patients and staff.
Beyond the WASH project, the new administration listed 8 additional projects to be delivered before June 2027 which include power restoration at Oregun Junior and Senior High Schools,complete rehabilitation of ICT Centre and roof repair at Oregun Junior High School,provision of First Aid Kits at Command Primary School,TA LACBAJA Brigade of Guards Cantonment, Maryland,tree planting & beautification at the same Command Primary School
Other projects include supply of 5 large and 2 small waste bins to Command Primary School and other projects under Health, Education and Environment pillars to be rolled out with partners
Igboanugo expressed confidence that members, friends and corporate partners will support the fundraising drive.
The new president said two projects have already been delivered since the administration took office on July 1, 2026.
“We gave over 200 pregnancy kits to pregnant women at LASUTH, Ikeja. We also donated a 10KVA generator to a school in Apapa for 24/7 electricity,” he revealed.
He also set a membership growth target of 20 new Rotarians in one year. Five new members have already joined.
“Rotary is about Time, Talent and Treasure. If you have one of the three, you are welcome. It’s a platform to network, serve, and impact lives,” Igboanugo said.
Immediate past President,Rotarian Sir Henry Uzodinma Obienu, formally handed over leadership and pledged 100% support.
“I’m going to give support financially, physically, emotionally, whatever support he needs to take this club to greater heights,” Obienu said.
The Royal Father of the Day,His Royal Majesty, Igwe Ositadinma Sunny Nwokedi, Uthoko N’Eze Achalla VI,blessed the new president, describing him as “a worthy son committed to contributing to mankind.”
Igboanugo comes to office with decades of experience as MD/CEO of Hotel Du Milano, Founder of Rockblim Digital Services, Chairman of AWACASH Microfinance Bank, and CIO of AWACASH Technology Ltd.
