The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Lateef Ashimi, has added another feather to his cap following his recognition as the Best Performing Local Government Chairman by Rootswatch Magazine at a prestigious award ceremony held at the Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja.
The award, which attracted dignitaries and stakeholders from across the country, was presented in recognition of Ashimi’s exceptional leadership style, commitment to grassroots development, and impressive record of service delivery in Somolu Local Government.
Investigator news reports that over the years, the Ashimi administration has been widely acknowledged for implementing people-oriented programmes, improving community infrastructure, strengthening public engagement, and promoting initiatives aimed at enhancing the welfare of residents.
Speaking through his Chief of Staff, Prince Sodiq Adeeso, who represented him at the event, Ashimi expressed appreciation to the organisers for the honour, describing the award as a recognition of the collective efforts of his administration and the unwavering support of the people of Somolu.
He dedicated the award to the residents of Somolu, whose cooperation and belief in the vision of the administration have continued to drive development across the local government.
