The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Wealth Creation and Employment, Amb. Comr. Tijani Saheed Oluwadare (Seedorf), has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of Democracy Day, urging citizens to recognize economic empowerment as a vital component of democratic development.
In his Democracy Day message, Hon Seedorf noted that while June 12 remains a symbol of freedom and democratic progress, it also presents an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s collective achievements and aspirations.
He emphasized that democracy flourishes when citizens are empowered economically and provided with opportunities to improve their standard of living.
According to him, the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu continues to demonstrate commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and advancing national development.
Seedorf also commended the efforts of the Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment under the leadership of Hon. Akinyemi Bankole Ajigbotafe and Mrs. Ololade Aina, noting that the ministry remains focused on promoting sustainable growth, job creation, and economic inclusion.
He further stated that the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has consistently prioritized policies that encourage entrepreneurship, employment, and financial independence, ensuring that democracy delivers meaningful benefits to the people.
According to him, true democracy guarantees equal economic opportunities, and the ministry remains committed to creating pathways for residents to achieve economic prosperity through hard work and innovation.
Amb. Comr.Oluwadare reaffirmed his dedication to supporting initiatives that strengthen the economy and improve the livelihoods of Lagos residents, expressing confidence that collective efforts will continue to drive progress and development.
He wished Nigerians a happy Democracy Day celebration and called for continued support for democratic values and good governance.
