Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, has won the Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship primary.
Makinde received 1,040 votes from delegates, defeating Mr Hazeem Gbolarunmi, who received two votes.

On Wednesday, the primary was held at Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan.
Makinde emerged as the PDP governorship candidate for Oyo State, according to the returning officer, Ben Obi, who was represented by Abdullahi MaiBasia, who announced the results.
Six votes were invalidated out of a total of 1,048 votes cast.
