Breaking: First-class Nigerian monarch is dead

The Maiyaki (Estu) of Kupa, Alhaji Mohammadu Kabir Isah (11), is dead.

After more than 42 years on the throne, Kabir Isah, who had been the guardian of Kupa land’s cultural traditions, passed away.

According to the information obtained by this newspaper, the monarch passed away on Sunday in a private hospital in the city of Bida, which is located in the state of Niger.

He served as the Vice-Chairman of the Lokoja Traditional Council up until the time of his passing.

In the land of Nupeland, the late first-class traditional ruler was a highly regarded member of the traditional ruler class.

In response to the news of his passing, Bashorun Moses Deola Eseyin, who will represent the Accord Party in the general elections for the Senate seat representing Kogi West in 2023, expressed his condolences to the entire population of Kupa land and their traditional ruler.

In his message of condolence, which Eseyin made available to this newspaper on Tuesday, Eseyin stated that the monarch would be remembered for his unwavering commitment to the advancement of his people throughout his entire life.

He prayed for the soul of the one who had died, wishing for it to rest in eternal peace.
