Ejigbo, Lagos–The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), has unveiled a strategic enumeration exercise aimed at establishing a comprehensive and reliable database that will drive data-based development, effective planning, and improved service delivery across the council area.
The initiative, which marks another milestone in the administration’s commitment to modern governance, is designed to provide the council with accurate information on key sectors and institutions operating within Ejigbo LCDA.
Investigator news reports that the exercise will cover corporate organizations, schools, healthcare facilities, hotels, lounges, markets, social amenities, and other business establishments spread across the community.
Speaking on the importance of the exercise,Aare TAT noted that accurate data remains one of the most valuable tools for governance and sustainable development.
He stressed that the availability of credible information would enable the council to make informed decisions, prioritize community needs, and implement programmes that directly improve the quality of life of residents.
According to the Executive Chairman, the exercise forms part of his administration’s broader vision of transforming Ejigbo into a well-planned, economically vibrant, and efficiently managed local government area where policies and projects are guided by facts and measurable realities.
To ensure the successful execution of the exercise, the council has approved the recruitment and deployment of trained Adhoc Staff who will serve as enumerators across all wards and communities within the LCDA.
The officers have been tasked with collecting relevant information that will support developmental planning and strengthen the council’s capacity to respond effectively to the needs of residents and businesses.
Aare TAT went further to explain that the data generated from the exercise would assist the council in areas such as infrastructure development, healthcare planning, environmental management, educational support programmes, economic development initiatives, revenue enhancement, and social welfare interventions.
He further emphasized that the exercise would help identify growth opportunities, bridge developmental gaps, and create a more responsive governance structure capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly growing population.
The Chairman therefore appealed to residents, business owners, school administrators, healthcare operators, market leaders, and managers of various establishments to cooperate fully with the enumeration teams by providing accurate and verifiable information.
