…….As Steering Committee Unites 20 Igbo Groups, Declares “One Voice, One House”.

Ejigbo, Lagos— History was made in Ejigbo on Tuesday 7, September 2026 as leaders of Ndigbo in APC, Ejigbo LCDA, collapsed over 20 different Igbo groups into a single, formidable political structure under the Ndigbo in APC Steering Committee.
The landmark strategy meeting held at Aceland Hotel, Ejigbo was coordinated by the local government Coordinator,Dr.Vivian Sunshine Obi, and Hon. Chief Mrs. Nelly Okafor,State Steering Committee Member with a clear mandate to galvanize support, mobilize the grassroots, and deliver APC massively in 2027. 
The meeting attracted market leaders, women leaders, socio-cultural heads and youth coordinators across Ejigbo.
Addressing the gathering,Hon Chief Mrs Nelly Okafor stated that the essence of the strategic meeting was to recognize Ndigbo in APC Steering Committee, Ejigbo Chapter as the sole platform for Igbo political engagement in the LCDA,begin immediate door-to-door, market-to-market sensitization for APC,ensure full inclusion of Ndigbo in governance and appointments in Lagos and mobilize massively for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in 2027.
“We are here to bring Igbos together in Ejigbo LCDA under one umbrella. That umbrella is the Ndigbo in APC Steering Committee,”
“We need an inclusive government and inclusiveness to win this election. We don’t need to discriminate.”
“We don’t want betrayal. We don’t want one leg in, one leg out. If you are not for us, step aside. As you can see, we are fully fitted and branded in party outfits and the message is clear,to re elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and vote for all Candidates of Apc from the State Governor,Dr Kadri Hamzat to Senator Adebule for Senate,Hon Monsurudeen Bello,House of Rep and Hon Ladi Ajomale for House of Assembly.This is a journey of no going back.”she said.
Speaking with newsmen , High Chief C.F.C. Obi,President-General of United Igbo Market Leaders and Traders Association of Nigeria,said unity was the only path to political relevance.
“It is good for all of us to come together. Our people say that when we unite, we will speak and do things in one voice because in politics, it is a game of numbers,”he declared.
“I am going to use my office as the PG of United Igbo Market leaders and traders association of Nigeria and also as the VP of Enugu State Town Union to asupport and work towards making sure we unite so that APC will get a very good results and vote from the good people of Ndigbo here in Lagos State.”
He made a direct appeal to Ndigbo across Lagos and Nigeria to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term.
“When you go to Rome, it is good to behave like the Romans. The Yorubas here are our brothers and sisters, and we are one Nigeria. Our brother Tinubu is from the South and has done well. A lot of things had gone wrong before his arrival, therefore no one can perform magic overnight.
“I am appealing to Ndigbo: let us support our brother, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to go for his second term. Buhari went for 8 years to represent the North; it is the turn of the South.
We should support our brother to represent us for 8 good years so that he can complete what he started,such road infrastructure,calabar coastal road and many more “
Archbishop Designate Sunny Udogwu charged the Igbo community to take ownership of their political destiny.
“We must show up together and have one house.
This time around, we are not to be pushed over. We must have one mind and one voice for the progress of Lagos State.
“Our Igbo people say,”Where a person lives, there they protect.” We are here, and we must be partakers of what is happening in Ejigbo LCDA. We must have our say here.
“My advice is that we should all come in mass and vote for the ruling party. Even though some people feel they are not doing well, we are here to correct the anomalies.”he submitted.
Lending her voice Hon. Chief Mrs. Nelly Okafor, Steering Committee Member, said the Ejigbo meeting was about ending years of fragmentation and aligning with the only structure recognized by the party at state level, headed by Hon.Engr.Joe Igbokwe
She announced that the committee had successfully brought together 20 previously divided Igbo groups.
“Today all of them have become one, knowing that the leadership brings everyone together under the Ndigbo in APC Steering Committee, Ejigbo.
With this structure, we can proudly say we will be able to galvanize support for our party.”
Hon. Okafor also drew a red line against parallel meetings,“Whoever is organizing any meeting outside this structure in Ejigbo is playing anti-party politics and is not with us.”
On voter mobilization she added: “A saying goes,where your business or property is, there your treasure and heart will be. We believe that all Igbos in Lagos State will come out in mass to vote for our party, APC, come the 2027 election.”
For Hon Dr Vivian Sunshine Obi, Coordinator Ndigbo in APC Steering Committee Ejigbo Chapter opined that the meeting marks the beginning of a new political era for Ndigbo in the LCDA.
“Today in Ejigbo, we have buried division and birthed one voice for Ndigbo in APC,” Dr. Obi declared.
She stressed that Ndigbo are no longer spectators in Lagos politics. “We are not visitors in Lagos politics. We are stakeholders, tax payers, business owners.
It is time we take the message of renewed hope to our people.From Ladipo to Alaba, from Ikotun to Ejigbo market, we are taking this message to every Igbo household and make them to understand why they must reelect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other Apc Candidates”
On the 2027 election, she said: “2027 is not a joke. It is a mission. And Ejigbo Ndigbo will be at the forefront to deliver APC from the polling unit to the collation center.
President Tinubu has performed credibly well in the last 4 years and now we Ndigbo in Lagos must take the message to our people again for another 4 years of Renewed Hope,more infrastructure and dividends of democracy”
Dr. Obi also issued a strong warning on discipline and loyalty:,“Let me say it clearly: There is only one recognized structure in Lagos today — the Ndigbo in APC Steering Committee. Anything outside this is distraction.
We don’t do ‘one leg in, one leg out’ politics. If you are with us, be with us 100%. If not, step aside. The train is moving.”
Investigator news gathered that the meeting ended with a rousing chant of “APC! Tinubu 2027! One Voice!” as leaders pledged to deliver Ejigbo and Oshodi-Isolo for the party.
With this new unity, political analysts say Ndigbo in APC Ejigbo are set to become a decisive force in the 2027 elections in Lagos.
