A 44-year-old mother of four, Mrs. Kabir Saidat, is urgently appealing for financial assistance as she battles a life-threatening brain tumour that requires immediate surgery.
Mrs. Saidat was diagnosed with Right Sphenoid Wing Meningioma at SafeCare Clinix, Surulere, Lagos, a condition that has severely affected her health and almost left her blind in her right eye.
According to medical reports obtained by our correspondent, the disease has resulted in poor vision, hearing impairment, occasional memory lapses, personality changes, and focal seizures, making urgent surgical intervention necessary.
Medical experts have recommended that Mrs. Saidat undergo brain surgery within two weeks to prevent further deterioration and increase her chances of survival.
The procedure, which is expected to take place at Alliance Hospital, Garki, Abuja, alongside related medical expenses and post-operative care, requires about N10 million.
Speaking on the family’s difficult situation, Mrs. Saidat’s sibling, Mr. Akegbeyale Toheeb, revealed that the family has spent all available resources over the past year while searching for medical solutions.
He explained that the repeated medical tests, consultations, and treatments have drained the family financially, forcing them to borrow about N4 million with interest.
“We are in dire need of financial assistance from the public. My sister’s condition has become a huge burden on the family and her husband.”
“We have exhausted everything we have, including our savings and personal accounts. We don’t want our sister to die young,” Mr. Toheeb pleaded.
He appealed to compassionate individuals, organisations, and philanthropists to support the family in raising the funds needed for the urgent surgery.
