The Executive Chairman of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon. Dr. Seyi Jakande, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to grassroots development after embarking on an inspection tour of key public facilities and ongoing projects across the council. 
The inspection, which took place on Thursday, August 6, covered critical sectors including healthcare, education, water supply and sports infrastructure, as the Chairman assessed the condition and functionality of various facilities.
At the Ayantuga Primary Health Centre, Jakande inspected the availability of essential drugs and medical equipment, the quality of healthcare services and the level of staff commitment. He stressed the importance of providing residents with accessible, affordable and efficient healthcare services.
The Chairman also visited the community borehole facility on Church Street, where he reviewed its functionality, maintenance and water supply capacity. He reiterated that access to clean and potable water remains a priority of his administration, noting its importance to public health and the well-being of residents.
At St. Paul Primary School, Jakande inspected the classrooms and other learning facilities, reaffirming his commitment to providing pupils and teachers with a safe and conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.
His inspection tour also took him to the Ayantuga 5-Aside Mini Football Pitch, where he assessed the condition of the facility ahead of planned recreational activities and the forthcoming Chairman’s Cup Season 6.
Jakande noted that sports play an important role in youth development, talent discovery and community engagement, stressing the need to provide and maintain functional sporting facilities for young people.
Speaking after the exercise, the Chairman described regular monitoring and evaluation as a vital component of his administration’s governance strategy.
He explained that consistent inspection of projects and public facilities would help ensure proper utilisation of resources, adherence to approved standards and effective delivery of government programmes.
Jakande assured residents that his administration would continue to prioritise projects and initiatives that directly impact their lives, promising sustained efforts toward improving infrastructure, public services and overall living conditions across Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA.
