The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming agriculture into a major driver of economic growth and food security through strategic partnerships.
Speaking during the visit of the Executive Director of Agricultural Services, Hon. Sulaiman Omoyele Akeem (ORIS), of the Ogun-Oshun River Basin Development Authority,Aare TAT described collaboration between the Council and relevant agricultural institutions as essential to unlocking the full potential of the agricultural sector in Ejigbo LCDA.
Investigator news reports that the high-level meeting centred on strengthening cooperation to improve agricultural productivity, expand opportunities for local farmers, encourage youth participation in agribusiness, and implement sustainable programmes that will boost food production and improve livelihoods across the council area.
Aare TAT noted that agriculture remains a critical pillar of his administration’s development agenda, stressing that meaningful partnerships with government agencies and stakeholders will help deliver lasting economic benefits to residents while creating employment opportunities for young people.
In his remarks, Hon. Sulaiman Omoyele Akeem commended the Chairman’s commitment to grassroots development and expressed the Ogun-Oshun River Basin Development Authority’s readiness to collaborate with the Ejigbo LCDA in advancing initiatives that will promote modern farming practices, enhance food security, and support sustainable agricultural development.
