Ododo, Foreign Affairs Minister Forge Alliance To Attract Investment To Kogi.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to attracting foreign investment and expanding international partnerships following a meeting with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaye, in Abuja.

The Governor also congratulated Ambassador Enikanolaye on his appointment, describing him as an accomplished diplomat whose vast experience in international relations will strengthen Nigeria’s foreign engagement while creating fresh opportunities for Kogi State’s economic development.

According to a statement by the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the Minister paid the Governor a courtesy visit to identify with his administration’s vision and discuss areas of collaboration aimed at promoting investment, economic growth and sustainable development.

 

Ambassador Enikanolaye said he was committed to working closely with the Kogi State Government to build strategic partnerships that would attract investors and showcase the state’s enormous economic potential to the international community.

“I’ve come to formally align with Your Excellency’s vision for Kogi State and assure you of my readiness to work with your administration in building strategic partnerships that will attract investments and create greater opportunities for our people.

Kogi has immense potential, and I am committed to helping project those opportunities to the international community,” the Minister said.

He praised Governor Ododo’s leadership style, particularly his humility, inclusiveness and commitment to protecting lives and property across the state.

He also commended the administration’s achievements in infrastructure, security and other key sectors, assuring the Governor of his continued support in advancing initiatives that would improve the welfare of Kogi residents.

In his response, Governor Ododo described Ambassador Enikanolaye’s appointment as a well-earned recognition of his distinguished career in Nigeria’s diplomatic service, noting that the people of Kogi were proud to see one of their own entrusted with such an important national responsibility.

The Governor said the Minister had continued to demonstrate professionalism, patriotism and dedication since assuming office, expressing confidence that his tenure would further strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic relations and benefit Kogi State.
“We are proud of your appointment because it is well deserved.

Your experience in diplomacy and commitment to national service have prepared you for this responsibility. We are confident that you will continue to serve Nigeria with distinction while supporting the development aspirations of Kogi State,” Ododo said.

He assured the Minister of his administration’s readiness to collaborate with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs in promoting international cooperation, attracting foreign investment and creating development partnerships that would stimulate economic growth and improve the quality of life of Kogi citizens.

Governor Ododo also reaffirmed his commitment to engaging accomplished Kogi indigenes serving in strategic positions across Nigeria and abroad to drive development and unlock new opportunities for the state.

He further appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Ambassador Enikanolaye as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, expressing confidence that he would justify the confidence reposed in him through dedicated, patriotic and impactful service.
