Manchester United have reportedly intensified their search for midfield reinforcements by identifying Chelsea’s Andrey Santos as a key transfer target ahead of the new season.

The 22-year-old Brazilian joined Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in 2023 and has shown flashes of his quality despite struggling for regular first-team opportunities. Since arriving at Stamford Bridge, Santos has made 47 appearances and has also spent time on loan to continue his development.
Santos faces stiff competition for a starting role at Chelsea, with Moisés Caicedo and Enzo Fernández firmly established as the club’s preferred midfield pairing.
Manchester United believe the highly rated Brazilian could provide energy, creativity and long-term value to their midfield as preparations for the 2026/27 campaign gather pace. Whether Chelsea are prepared to sanction his departure, however, remains to be seen.
