The Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Barrister Abdulsalami Ozigi Deedat, has convened a strategic meeting with the Managing Director of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) and members of the House of Representatives from Kogi State to address pressing concerns affecting federal roads across the state.
The meeting, held on Tuesday, brought together key stakeholders, including Hon. Abdulraheem Sani Egidi (Ajaokuta Federal Constituency), Hon. Danladi Aguye (Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency), and Hon. Salman Idris (Ijumu/Kabba-Bunu Federal Constituency).
Deliberations centered on assessing the current state of federal roads in Kogi, identifying priority areas in need of urgent intervention, and developing collaborative strategies to accelerate maintenance and rehabilitation efforts.
Speaking after the engagement, the Commissioner reiterated the Kogi State Government’s commitment to partnering with federal agencies and lawmakers to ensure that road infrastructure across the state meets required standards.
