Residents of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) are set to benefit from a two-day free medical and mental health outreach initiated by the Executive Chairman, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo, as part of efforts to improve healthcare access and promote community wellbeing.
The outreach, organized in collaboration with Mercy Ship Foundation and Freedom Mission Foundation, will hold from Wednesday, April 22 to Thursday, April 23, at the Council Secretariat, opposite NNPC Junction, Ejigbo, starting from 10:00 AM daily.
According to the council leadership, the initiative is aimed at bringing essential healthcare services closer to residents, particularly those who may not have easy access to quality medical care.
The outreach will feature free medical consultations,Health education and sensitization on mental health, Blood pressure measurement,Blood sugar measurement,TB screening,HIV screening,Eye screening and medication, Treatment of minor ailment,free medication, Referral and follow up on mental issues,mental health support, treatment services, and distribution of free medications.
Aare TAT emphasized that the programme reflects his administration’s commitment to improving the quality of life of residents through accessible and people-centered healthcare interventions. He noted that health remains a critical pillar for sustainable development and community growth.
“This outreach underscores our administration’s dedication to ensuring that residents of Ejigbo enjoy access to quality healthcare services.”

The chairman also commended the partnering organizations for their support and shared commitment to community service, noting that the collaboration will help reach a larger number of beneficiaries and provide comprehensive care.
Investigator news reports that residents across Ejigbo and neighboring communities are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity by coming out in large numbers to get screened, receive treatment, and obtain necessary medications at no cost.
Community leaders and stakeholders have welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful, especially given the rising need for accessible healthcare and mental health awareness at the grassroots level.
The council reiterated its commitment to sustaining similar initiatives in the future, stressing that “Your health is our priority. A healthier Ejigbo is a stronger Ejigbo.”
