Abiodun Kings FC, bronze medal winners of the Ojelabi Cup Badagry tournament, have been adopted as Oto-Awori LCDA’s official football team.
The team who paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Abiodun in his office, was given a hero’s welcome by the LCDA Council boss,where they were officially recognized and congratulated on their achievement,as the Executive Chairman presented them with an additional ₦1 million as a gift for their third-place finish at the tournament.
Hon. Abiodun expressed delight and adopted Abiodun Kings FC as the official team of the LCDA, saying it was a move that would promote sports development in the area and provide opportunities for young talents to shine.
“We are committed to supporting sports development in our community, and Abiodun Kings FC is a key partner in this endeavor,” he said.
He announced that Abiodun Kings FC will henceforth represent the LCDA in any competition and will receive allowances and necessary kits to aid their performance.
Abiodun specifically mentioned the upcoming community football competition, which will be announced soon, saying the team will be equipped and prepared to make a mark.
The team expressed gratitude for the recognition and the gift, and promised that the team would make the LCDA proud and use the opportunity to promote unity and sports development in the community.
