The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Isolo LCDA has flagged off its campaign for the forthcoming July 12 local council elections in grand style as the party’s chairmanship candidate, Hon. Olasoju Adebayo, and his running mate, Hon. Shakir Adeola Sadiq, were formally endorsed by party stalwarts.

The event held at the Hillcrest Event Center showcases the party’s unity and numerical strength, with over 2,000 party members and supporters in attendance including the party’s leadership, led by Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale and Otunba Jide Oni.

Also in attendance was the Member representing Oshodi Isolo State Constituency II at the Lagos State.House of Assembly,Hon Ladi Ajomale, Barrister Gani Bello and other stakeholders of All Progressive Congress.

In his remarks Hon Adebayo Olasoju  expressed heartfelt gratitude to his deputy, Hon. Shakir Sadiq Adeola, the party leadership, his executive team, members of the 5th legislative arm, ward chairmen, support groups, and others who contributed to his success during his first term.

He reiterated his commitment to consolidate more projects in the next four years, pledging to uphold APC’s hallmark of transformational leadership as being exemplified by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the federal and state levels, respectively.

” I want to specifically thank everyone including our party leaders for giving us the opportunity again to contest for the Chairmanship position, thank you all for your support during the primary election,now we have passed that level,we have a bigger project ahead of us come July 12. Let us take the message to every doorstep, preaching and letting them know what the party has done and why they should vote APC come July 12.

” The party that is giving students loan to help them in their academics, building the longest road, Lagos-Calabar coastal road of 700km,Sokoto/ badagry road, market men and women receiving financial support,Asiwaju is working, Nigeria is moving forward,even in Lagos you would think that you are in London ”

“And here in Isolo ,we will not fail because we have a family tradition of performance,I promise you that if elected more projects would be actualized.”he said

Olasoju went further to state that within his first 2years in office if re-elected,he would construct a primary school in  Okota ward as the people are clamoring for it.

While introducing the party’s Councilorship candidates for the seven political wards namely Hon. Idris Babatunde Amusa (Akinbaiye Ward), Adeolu Ikugbayigbe(Ajao Estate Ward) Nofisat Shobayo-Lawal(Ilasamaja Ward) Adenrele Azeez(Alagbeji Ward)Jamiu Ajose (Okota Ward)Yusuf Oni(Apena Ward)and Kehinde Ajala( Ishagatedo/Ire-Akari Ward),Olasoju appealed to all and sundry for continued support for the party come July 12,2025.

Speaking earlier, Otunba Jide Oni called on all aspirants and stakeholders to close ranks and work towards delivering a resounding victory for the party.

The towering political juggernaut and successful entrepreneur urged other aspirants to remain unwavering in their loyalty to the party as he attributed his own political growth to his respect for party supremacy and encouraged all aspirants to rally around the party’s candidates and work tirelessly for the APC’s success.

The former APC State Chairman and member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale commended other aspirants for their show of sportsmanship and urged all to put the primaries completely behind them and work together to secure victory at the polls.

Ajomale called on all the party members to come out enmass and vote massively for the party in the forthcoming July 12 local government election, while urging Hon Adebayo Olasoju to ensure that all other aspirants who stepped aside following the party’s instructions is accommodated.

 

Investigator news reports that the Councilorship Candidates were presented with the party’s flag who were all dressed in Olasoju branded attire.

Speaking with investigator news,Hon Nofisat Shobayo-Lawal Councilorship Candidate for Ilasamaja Ward expressed gratitude to God almighty for giving her the opportunity to serve he people,also she acknowledges the Member Governor’s Advisory Council, Otunba Henry Ajomale, Otunba Jide Oni,Hon Olasoju and all the party members for believing in her,while promising to be good representative if elected.

Hon Shobayo Lawal assured her ward of open door policy, adding that women, youths would be regularly assisted.

The Councilorship Candidates for Ishagatedo/Ire-Akari Ward,Hon Kehinde Adenike Ajala noted that she would be the voice of her ward, noting that she would be accountable and responsive to the needs of the people for the development of the area council.

Lending his voice,Hon Adeolu Ikugbayigbe, Councilorship hopeful for Ajao estate promises to run an open door policy if elected into office, adding that youths, women would be regularly assisted.

He therefore promised not to disappoint his party members and the entire people of Ajao estate if he is allowed to serve.

The APC LGA Woman leader,Alhaja Salawat Olasubom Olusesi applauded the Chairmanship candidate for the good work he did during his first tenure as he touched so many lives especially the women folks, assist them financially,grant loans to some of them.

Alhaja Salawat assured the chairman of the unalloyed support from the market women to the entire people of Isolo LCDA.

Adenrele Azeez(Alagbeji Ward) called on the residents and party members of All Progressive Congress to come out enmass and vote massively for all candidates in APC inorder to prepare ahead of 2027 general election, while stating that if elected,he would be more closer to the people of his ward so as hear their plight and attend to it.

 

The highlight of the event was the presentation of party symbols to the seven Councilorship candidates

The colourful and historic flag-off is coming just two days after the party, at the state level reaffirmed Olasoju and other winners of the May 10 chairmanship primaries across the 57 LGAs and LCDAs in Lagos State as the official flagbearers.
