On the auspicious occasion of this year’s Isese Day celebration, the Mayor of Isolo LCDA, Olasoju Adebayo has sent warm regards to the custodians of Africa’s rich Culture and traditional religion worshippers in the council area.
In a congratulatory message released by his Special Adviser on Media,Mr Rasheed lskilu,Hon Olasoju described the celebration as a promotion of Africa’s identity and Heritage noting that it is an occasion to reflect on our African roots.
The council boss congratulated the Regent of the ancient Kingdom, High Chief Saliu Wasiu Arowo-Oye on this year’s celebration while also extending his compliments to the Baales and generality of traditional religion adherents.
“I am delighted to rejoice with our traditional leaders; chiefly the Regent of Isolo Kingdom, High Chief Saliu Wasiu Arowo-Oye, our respected Baales and the generality of traditionalists on this day set aside to specially acknowledge our gods and dieties as passed to us by our African forebearers.
“Isese Day celebration highlights our identity as Africans and personally to us; it’s the celebration of our heritage as Omo “kaaro oojiire”. Worthy of mention is the fact that this celebration will be without our revered traditional leader, the Late Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Alani Adelaja Agbabiaka who joined his ancestors earlier this year. Our late monarch was a staunch proponent of African religion and we can only pray for his loving soul to rest in peace.

Olasoju went further to commend the State Governor for sustaining its regards for the indigenous culture by declaring today as a work free day as he urged the traditional religion adherents to celebrate within the ambiance of morality and orderliness.
