Breaking: Remains of slain female Sokoto student, Deborah buried in Niger State
Deborah Samuel, a student at Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto, was burned to death by her classmates on Thursday for what they said was blasphemy. Her body was buried in Tunga Magajiya, Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.
SaharaReporters said that a group of angry people, mostly college students, stoned Deborah to death and then set her on fire on Thursday.
On Saturday, a chartered bus was said to have brought Deborah’s body.
After that, her family buried her and said that the Sokoto State Government had not handled the situation well.
