After 48 hours, the bishop of Jebba diocese, Anglican Communion, Rt Rev. Aderogba, his wife, and driver, who were kidnapped on Sunday, June 12, have been released from their captors’ den.
The victims’ release was confirmed by the Oyo state police command on Tuesday, June 14.
The Bishop, his wife, and the driver were kidnapped along the new Oyo/Ogbomoso expressway in Oyo state, according to reports.
According to the report, the kidnappers demanded N50 million in exchange for their release.
While the circumstances of their release are unknown, the victims were released unharmed, according to the Oyo state police command.
