A devastating accident occurred at NYSC Bus-Stop, Igando, Lagos, claiming the life of a female worshipper heading to MFM Church.
A Mercedes-Benz C-300 struck her while she was in a pedestrian corridor at the NYSC Bus-Stop, inward Igando, Lagos and the driver fled the scene.

Investigator news reports that the victim was lawfully navigating the designated pedestrian corridor when the vehicle, under circumstances yet to be definitively ascertained, veered into her pathway with devastating and irreversible consequences.
Demonstrating tactical coordination and adherence to established emergency response protocols, LASTMA and police responded swiftly,as the officers promptly cordoned off the accident scene,securing the area and regulating traffic.
The accident vehicle was thereafter secured and evacuated from the carriageway by LASTMA operatives in strategic collaboration with officers of the Nigeria Police Force, Igando Division.
The victim’s husband, present at the church service,overcome with anguish, he and members of the church community proceeded to the scene and respectfully conveyed the remains of the deceased for necessary rites.

The General Manager of LASTMA, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, conveyed his profound condolences to the bereaved family and extended heartfelt sympathies to the entire MFM Church community.
He prayed that Almighty God grant them the fortitude and spiritual resilience required to endure the irreparable loss occasioned by this tragic event.
Mr. Bakare-Oki reaffirmed LASTMAâs unwavering commitment to the preservation of human life and the strict enforcement of traffic discipline across Lagos roadways.
He emphasized that the outcome of the ongoing police investigation would guide the Governmentâs subsequent course of action.

Furthermore, he admonished motorists to exercise heightened vigilance, adhere strictly to statutory speed regulations and demonstrate unequivocal respect for pedestrian rights at all times.
