The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu ‘Dullar’, has once again reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to grassroots development and people-centered leadership.
With numerous achievements across infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment, Dullar continues to set a standard for effective governance at the local level.
In an address earlier on Friday 23, May 2025,at his Glass House office, he stated that all the blackmails, lies, and character defamation being spread about his administration are nothing more than political distractions.
According to him, these are desperate attempts by detractors to divert attention from the growing acceptance and popularity of Hon. Lateef Ashimi and Hon. Taiwo Ojomu—the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates for Chairman and Vice Chairman in the forthcoming local government elections.
He made it clear that he remains undistracted and fully focused on delivering his mandate. He added that political distractors who feel aggrieved or have claims should approach the court of law to seek redress, rather than hiding behind baseless accusations and cyberbullying.
Dullar warned that Nigeria’s cybercrime and libel laws remain enforceable and violators will be held accountable.
The Council boss also took the opportunity to laud the APC, describing it as the most organized political party with extensive membership both in Nigeria and abroad.
He confidently predicted a sweeping victory for the APC in the upcoming local government elections across Lagos State.
He attributed the party’s growing popularity to the remarkable developmental strides achieved at the grassroots, led by committed local leaders and strongly supported by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. He further acknowledged that this progress is built upon the strong foundation laid by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his time as Governor of Lagos State—a legacy of visionary planning and structured governance that continues to yield results today.
