Soludo takes action against Task Force officer for slapping Odumeje

Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo announced on Friday that he has directed that the Task Force personnel involved in the mistreatment of Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, aka, Odumeje, be treated in accordance with the rules of public conduct “which he roundly failed to uphold.”

Soludo, who revealed this in a statement, promised that it will never happen again.

“Let me sincerely thank and Anambra for their patience as we take bold steps toward making our homeland livable and prosperous.” “On this journey, imperfect steps will be taken, emotions will run wild, and opinions will become thick,” the Governor said.

“It is important to note that we will remain unafraid, correct our flaws, strive to keep our emotions in check, and aggregate opinions that are in the interest of our overall good.”

“Yesterday’s outing evoked emotions, not against the government’s decision, but against the imperfect and unprofessional manner in which one of the task force members discharged his lawful duty.” This is deeply regretted and will never happen again. I have directed that the task force personnel involved in the abuse of Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere (Odumeje) be treated in accordance with the rules of public conduct, which he consistently violated.

“We will continue to work to carry out the mandate you have given us.” Nothing less than the best outcomes are guaranteed. On behalf of the government and people of Anambra State, I condemn the attack and ask for your continued support in the fight to restore the dignity of Onitsha, and indeed the entire state.”
