The Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Seyi Jakande, has convened a Budget Retreat to chart the course for the council’s 2026 fiscal year.
The retreat held on Wednesday 10, December 2025, with the theme “Budget of Sustainability”, brought together stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for prudent resource management and sustainable development.
In his address,Jakande emphasized the focus on long-term impact, fiscal responsibility, and inclusive governance, ensuring every initiative delivers value to residents.
“Our 2026 budget is more than figures; it is a commitment to sustainability, equity, and progress. We are determined to build a resilient community where development is continuous and benefits every citizen.”he said.
The Council boss highlighted priority areas for the coming year which include infrastructure renewal, healthcare, education, environmental sanitation, and youth empowerment.
He stressed that transparency and accountability will remain the cornerstone of his administration.
Investigator news reports that the retreat concluded with technical sessions on budgeting, procurement processes, and standardization, reinforcing the LCDA’s commitment to a realistic, people-centered financial plan for 2026.
