In recognition of his contribution to the people of Ejigbo and the society at large,the lnternational Association of World Peace Advocate (IAWPA)an affiliate of United Nation has honoured Eze Ambassador Nicholas Emenike Njoku,the Eze Ndigbo of Ejigbo with a diplomatic passport and a special vehicle plate number.

The recognition according to the Lagos Director,a representative of United Nation is to acknowledge and appreciate individuals with a track record of exemplary leadership, selfless service and commitment to the overall improvement of humanity.

The event which took place on Sunday,7th July,2024 at the palace of Eze Eziokwu bu Ndu attracted traditional rulers,technocrats, top government functionaries, political stalwart,top senior police officers,yoruba and hausa community among other dignitaries.

In his welcome address,the Lagos Director and representative of United Nation Ambassador Bishop Dr Prince C. Nkemakolam stated that the award is aimed at promoting and recognizing the act of impacting lives in the society, noting that Eze Ambassador Nicholas Njoku is bestowed with the award for his meritorious service to humanity, peace advocacy,job creation and upliftment of educational standard in Ejigbo and Lagos at large.

Bishop Nkemakola noted that the recognition was a testament to Njoku’s dedication, commitment, and impactful contributions to better the lives of others, stressing that his remarkable efforts and service-oriented approach have undoubtedly made a sign

He opined that the International Society of Diplomat gave him the award to continue with his selfless work, strong ambition to touch humanity and impact more in the lives of the people, while encouraging him not to relent with his good deeds.

He said,”Eze Ambassador Dr Nicholas Emenike Njoku recognition is an honor to encourage him the more to affect lives. When he was doing the work of touching lives ,his deeds began to the attention of the United Nations, without him knowing it.

“Eze Njoku is a man that will not sleep and see you go hungry,he has touched lives and he is still touching, whenever there is darkness,he comes out to be the light and this is one of the 17 point agenda of the United Nations. When God made him an ambassador of peace,he did not stop in assisting the less privileged and people around him and for this reason the United Nation decided to issue him a diplomat passport and special plate number, today he will be addressed as “His Excellency”,he stated

Bishop Nkemakola who doubles as the General Overseer of Glorious Overwhelming Church Lagos urged every individual to have a sense of belonging to impact on people’s around them.

In the same vein, Ambassador Dr Emmanuel Ebuk highlighted the 17 Sustainable development goals of the United Nations, urging every individual to always assist those in need so as to eradicate poverty and hunger, which is one of the goals of United Nations.

He went further to state that Eze Nicholas Njoku has played his part by impacting lives as he has dedicated his life and resources to the service of humanity, stressing that he has helped so many homeless people, destitute,widows, orphans and today he is recognized by the lnternational body as one who has tried to eradicate poverty and hunger in his community.

Speaking to Journalists, Ambassador Ebuk pointed out that the main aim of the organization is to promote peace, stating that one cannot progress without peace and before the organization recognizes any individual,he must have a track record of his work in the country where he resides.

In his response,the recipient, His Excellency Eze Ambassador Dr Nicholas Emenike Njoku, while thanking God almighty and the organization for finding him worthy said,” the award is a call for more responsibilities and to further spur me to make more impacts in the lives of the people. ”

“I lack words to appreciate the United Nation for finding me worthy for the honor,l did not know that my little contribution to humanity is recognized by the international body”

Speaking on his next plans,he said”my plan is to fear the lord the more because the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. If you walk with knowledge, you will be limited but if you walk with God,you are unlimited,this call for me to draw closer to God and seek for more wisdom and be more humbled to the community.

” My other aim is to continually bring peace between the ethnic group in my locality so that there won’t be crisis,l have greater responsibility ahead of me so I need more composition, more determination and more focus to ensure I move forward.

“It is the peace that brings development, we will continue be preaching peace, by saying the truth without minding whose ox is gored,if you are protecting your tribe alone, you will be limited and there will be no peace. I must do more work, more advocacy for unity, peace and truth among the Igbos”.he stated

While appealing to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to look inward so as to know the problems of the nation, stating that without peace and unity, the country cant move forward.

Lending his voice,Eze Ndigbo of Ikeja,Eze Uche Dimgba,the Okpotemba of Ipere land expressed gratitude to the United Nation for finding Eze Njoku worthy and giving the highest prestigious award.

“We are happy with him, we will continue to ask God to give him strength to do good things for Nigeria and the world in general”.

“He is trying to work according to dictates of United nation. Trying to put poverty out of the world. He has been doing this and United nations found him worthy, to be bestowed with this title.” He said.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of a diplomat passport, special plate number and cultural display by the lgbo and Yoruba speaking community as dignitaries who attended the event include representatives of United Nations Amb.Bishop Dr Prince C.
